October 18, 2006 - DigitalLife
Last Friday, I went on a school trip to the DigitalLife show at the Javits Center. After about three hours of presentations on Ask.com, the future of entertainment (best one, with interesting stats and previews on gaming), and PC safety, I had lunch on these kickass stairs:

Yeah, low quality 'cause I took it with my phone. Me and some classmates couldn't find any tables, so we just spent half an hour eating sandwiches on the steps.
After that, it was time for the main attraction: the booths. During the boring parts of the presentations, I marked on my map some of the booths that advertised contests in the program.
One of the first ones I went to was the imeem photobooth. Oh man, my pics are retarded. Haha, someone gave me 2 stars XD!
Get the most votes on your pic and win a Nintendo Wii. Ah well, it was worth a try!
After that I just wandered around, looking for freebies with one of my classmates. I got a nice pile of junk, from pens and pins to Final Fantasy XII tissues and temporary tattoos (might put up a pic of that later). There were some gaming tournaments going on, and a kazillion previews. For a list of the games, click here.
I left the convention center around 4:30, 'cause I think I got most of the freebies I could find, and my dress shoes were squishing my toes in an uncomfortable way. Damn permission slip said "business casual attire" and the teachers came in jeans and sneakers. Still, it was a pretty fun day, even though it was Friday the 13th (I don't care for that crap anyway).
